The Catholic Church and the United Nations

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH has supported the United Nations and taken part in its work from the beginning. The Holy See has permanent observer status at the UN in New York, the Office of the United Nations in Geneva, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, and the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Paris. In his first encyclical, Redemptor Hominis (1979), he described it as a "magnificent effort" to establish the rights of persons, includ-ing the freedom of religion (No. 17). Garvey   Archbishop Celestino Migliore, the Vatican's permanent observer to the United Nations, will speak on "Catholicism and Islam: Points of Convergence and Divergence, Encounter and Cooperation." at 8 p.m. Nov. 15 (Thursday) in the Hesburgh Center auditorium at the University of Notre Dame.   ( 2007년 11월 15일 오후 8시 바티칸 유엔 영구 옵서버 셀레스티노 미글리오레는 노틀담 대학 헤스버그 센터 강당에서 이슬람과 카톨릭 : 집중과 분산, 만남과 협력의 의제를 가지고 연설할 것이다 ) A native of Cuneo, Italy, Archbishop Migliore earned a master's degree in theology at the Center of Theological Studies in Fossano and a doctoral degree in canon law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome before joining the Holy See's diplomatic service in 1980.  Before being appointed to his present position in 2002, he served in a variety of posts in Angola, the United States, Egypt, Poland and France as well as in the office of the Vatican Secretariat of State, where he worked on fostering relations with Asian countries which have no formal diplomatic ties to the Holy See.  He also has served as a visiting professor of ecclesiastical diplomacy at the Pontifical Lateran University. 유엔은 프리메이슨들이 뉴에이지 정신에 입각하여 세계 평화와 지구와 인류의 안녕이라는 명분을 가지고 만든 세계 기구입니다. 이 기구는 종교의 중요성을 인지하고 그 활동과 조직 속에 종교적 요소들을 적극적으로 반영하고 있습니다. 그들은 종교 다원주의를 철저히 표명하고 있고, 이것을 토대로 각 개별 종교들에 대한 정책을 펴나가고 있습니다. 그런데 이 정책의 중심에 프리메이슨과 결합한 로마 카톨릭이 크게 자리 잡고 있음을 알 수 있습니다. 로마 카톨릭도 종교 다원주의를 표방하고 유엔의 정책에 영향을 미치고 있습니다. 지금 세계를 콘트롤하고 있는 두 세력이 있으니 그 하나는 유엔과 프리메이슨, 그리고 그들과 결합한 로마 카톨릭이라는 사실은 부인할 수가 없을 것입니다. 복음주의 연합이라고 하는  WCC ( 세계 교회 협의회 )도- 실상은 프리메이슨 조직- 유엔과 카톨릭의 협력적 진보에 적극적으로 동참하고 있습니다. 성경이 말하는 " 정사와 권세와 이 어두움의 세상 주관자들" ( 엡 6 : 12 )이 과연 이들을 말하는 것일까요 ?  참 신앙이라는 것은 이들에 대하여 어떤 입장을 취하는 것이 바른 것인가요 ?  우리는 이 두가지 질문에 대하여 속히 결정을 내려야 하며, 어두움의 세상주관자들이 우리 교회들에 미치는 영향들을 잘 분별하여 바른 믿음을 지켜가야 할 것입니다.
